In November, Radical Storage dropped a new report based on thousands of Google reviews… and let’s just say some beloved tourist hotspots won’t be thrilled. Spoiler: pretty monuments don’t hide overflowing trash cans.
Ouch… yes, it’s now official. Paris is dirty. Parisians have been saying it for years, and this ranking finally backs them up. But hey—it’s not the dirtiest. Small victory.
Top 5 Dirtiest Cities:
5. Paris – Stylish but not always spotless: 28.2% of reviews mention dirt. The hashtag #saccageParis is still going strong, even if the Olympics helped give the city a temporary shine.
4. Florence – 29.6% negative reviews. Narrow medieval streets + endless foot traffic = cleaning nightmare. Italy even introduced huge fines for tossing trash from cars.
3. Las Vegas – 31% complaints. With nonstop parties, keeping the streets clean is basically mission impossible. Some travelers even call it a “dump.” Mood.
2. Rome – 35.7% of reviews mention rats, seagulls and… maggots. Reddit dedicated an entire thread to the question: “Why is Rome so dirty?” Great question.
1. Budapest – The “winner” with 37.9% of reviews noting dirt or poor upkeep. Too many tourists, not enough brooms. Simple math.
Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the ranking, Krakow shines with 98.5% positive reviews. Clean enough to eat off the floor… almost.
