Another extreme measure imposed by Donald Trump. After increasing fees in National Parks for foreign tourists, here comes social media surveillance.

US Plan to Collect Travelers’ Social Media History

The Trump administration wants to require all visitors using the Esta program to provide their social media history for the past five years, as well as other personal data such as phone numbers, email addresses from the last ten years, and even information about family members.

If not challenged in court, the measure will take effect within 60 days. It adds to other recent restrictions, at a time when foreign tourism to the United States is already declining.
