USA. Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone… Donald Trump Supercharges Foreign Tourist Fees

With a price hike deemed prohibitive, Donald Trump is turning access to America’s natural wonders into a privilege reserved for residents. Starting in 2026, visiting the Grand Canyon, Yosemite or Yellowstone will cost foreign tourists up to three times more.

Trump is effectively shutting the gates of national parks — for foreigners’ wallets. Behind the slogan “priority for Americans,” the former president is installing a financial barrier that will exclude a large portion of international visitors.

The message couldn’t be clearer: national parks are “America First”… foreigners welcome only if they can afford the bill.

$250 for Foreigners

Beginning January 1, the annual pass granting access to all national parks will skyrocket from $80 to $250 for non–US residents — more than a threefold increase.

Those skipping the pass will also face a $100 surcharge on entry tickets for the most iconic sites, including the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Yellowstone, all UNESCO World Heritage sites.

The move is already being denounced as a hammer blow to global tourism — and yet another symbol of a policy that seems determined to isolate the United States… not with a concrete wall this time, but with a financial one.
