Trump is back in the Oval Office — and so is his trademark glitz. Out go Biden’s deep-blue rug and restrained décor, and in come gold accents, brighter colors, military flags, and a décor style that feels much more Trump than tradition.
The Oval Office now features the lighter Reagan-era rug, gilded ceiling trim, and a wall packed with framed portraits. Even the presidential seal on the ceiling has been given a shiny gold makeover. And yes — there are coasters with Trump’s name on them. If you’ve ever seen Trump Tower or Mar-a-Lago, you won’t be shocked.
In the Entrance Hall, Biden’s portrait of Barack Obama has been replaced by a dramatic painting of Trump raising his fist after surviving an assassination attempt — a shift from presidential history to personal storytelling.
A new Rose Garden and a ballroom on the way
Outside, the Rose Garden no longer has grass. It’s now a stone terrace called “The Rose Garden Club,” which Trump claims is far better for events — especially “for people wearing high heels.” The makeover was completed over the summer.
But the biggest change is still coming: a massive new state ballroom in the East Wing, big enough for 650 guests and expected to cost around $200 million. The White House says Trump and “patriot donors” will pay for it.
Sorry I haven’t been too active on social media lately. Enjoy from the Oval Office, this past Thursday.

Even the Cabinet Room has been reworked, now sporting gold accents, heavy curtains, and a lineup of portraits chosen by Trump himself.
Love it or roll your eyes — the message is hard to miss: the White House now looks a lot more like Trump than ever before.
