Maritime traffic surged by nearly 473%, with boat arrivals increasing steadily as race day approached. The number of incoming vessels rose from 216 on June 4 to 500 on the day of the Grand Prix.

Luxury yachts accounted for the vast majority of the activity. Over the past ten days, nearly 2,000 pleasure craft arrived in Monaco, representing more than 90% of all recorded vessel traffic.

A satellite image from the European Copernicus program, taken just hours before the race, showed a packed Monaco Bay, with marinas and anchorage areas nearly full.

For the world’s wealthiest spectators, watching the race from a yacht remains one of the most sought-after experiences of the weekend. Berths in Monaco’s ports can cost tens of thousands of euros per day depending on the size of the vessel, allowing affluent guests to enjoy the action from some of the most exclusive viewing spots on the circuit.
