Scare During Hungary vs Kazakhstan Friendly as Spider Camera Crashes Onto the Pitch

A major scare occurred during the international friendly between Hungary and Kazakhstan when a camera suspended above the field suddenly detached and crashed onto the pitch at the stadium in Debrecen.

The match could have turned into a disaster. The spider cam system reportedly failed and fell to the ground during the first half. According to Hungarian media reports, a fire is believed to have damaged the cable supporting the camera. Moments later, the equipment plunged from a height of more than 20 meters, landing near the touchline.

Camera Falls Just Meters Away From Cameraman

The incident could have had serious consequences. The camera crashed only a few meters away from a cameraman working on the sidelines. Fortunately, nobody was injured despite the dramatic scene.

The match was temporarily halted in the 26th minute while officials secured the area and removed the fallen equipment. Players used the unexpected break to take on fluids and cool down before play resumed.

Despite the frightening incident, the game was able to continue without further problems. Hungary eventually secured a 3-1 victory over Kazakhstan.

Liverpool midfielder and Hungarian captain Dominik Szoboszlai was among the goalscorers as Hungary completed a successful evening on the pitch after what could have been a far more serious event.
