A tragedy struck the Dominican Republic on Sunday when the pilot and co-pilot of a private jet chartered by baseball legend Yadier Molina lost their lives in a crash on an airport runway.
According to initial reports, the aircraft crashed while still on the ground. Local authorities have launched an investigation, and the exact circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear.
Molina, one of the most respected figures in baseball and a former MLB star, was not on board the aircraft at the time of the crash.
